‘MAKING OF’

Sourced Waste

Waste Sawdust Preparation

ONE

Collect from your nearest wood workshop.

TWO

Filter through by hand, the sieve is too big.

THREE

Take out all visible microplastics and eliminate clusters such as MDF chunks caused by sticky microfibres.

Waste Tangerine Peel Preparation

ONE

Collect from waste.

TWO

Cut up into 1/2 penny-size chunks.

THREE

Dehydrate for approximately 6 hours at 70 Celcius.

FOUR

Grind into smaller chunks. Ready to use.

Found Marine Shell Preparation

ONE

Collect. Preferable shell forms include razor clam shells, whereas common muscle and limpet shells tend to be more difficult to grind down. Oyster shells are good but difficult as they have an innate water pollutant filtration ability.

TWO

Clean.

THREE

Gather into a ball held within some scrap cloth. A close weave cloth is preferable.

FOUR

Beat in mixing bowl with heavy tools.

FIVE

Repeat until ground into granular levels, however not to a dust-like extent.

Waste Cork Preparation

ONE

Collect from waste.

TWO

Clean.

THREE

Dehydrate for 6 hours.

FOUR

Grind into ground granular pieces, ready for use.

Waste Paper Pulp Preparation

ONE

Collect scrap paper only.

TWO

Shed.

THREE

Soak in warm water for 24 hours.

FOUR

Blend together in blender with binder accompaniment such as aloe vera. Ready for use.

When applying to mixture, extract approximately half the water quantity using a stretched cheese cloth or any medium open weave fabric.
